Women for Change Week is a weeklong series of events in honor of women’s gains. Founded in 2000, this year will mark the 8th
anniversary of Women for Change Week, created and sponsored by UCLA students,
staff, and faculty. Women & men who have worked to enhance the role of women
are celebrated for their achievements. A weeklong series of dialogues, workshops, & events are presented in honor of women's gains and to begin to create a campus agenda for further progress. Don’t miss the annual
showing of the UCLA Clothesline Project a moving display which seeks to end
sexual violence and a tribute to the courage of those who have survived.
Every individual, department, and organization at UCLA will
have the opportunity to participate in UCLA WOMEN FOR CHANGE 2008 held May 19-23
an occasion to celebrate UCLA women's presence, diversity, and achievements and
to address their absences and challenges in higher education and in society.
